Our Business

L. Edgar Duff  was launched in April 2005.  We speciaize in small lines and target our products to boutique retailers and independent, upscale department stores.

L. Edgar Duff is committed to bringing jewelry designs in the bridge sector that offer a creative flair.  We specialize in inventive interpretations of  classic gemstones combined with unexpected accents. The company plans an expansion to include small accessories and handbags in the future.

Who We Are

At  an early age I realized that I possesed a creative imagination.  Throughout my childhood, I has visions of becoming a famous artist.  Growing up in Chicago, I appreciated wondrous works of art, music, architecture and fashion.  I chose a safer vocation and did not listen to the inner voice that yearned to create objects of beauty.  After 191/2 years of sales and marketing related positions within the telecommunications industry, I was laid off.  My safety net vanished three years short of full retirement eligibility.  It was through this adverse situation that I was able to  pursue a new career direction.  

I have created jewelry for over 17 years.     I am self taught and often employ unconventional methods to construct my designs.   I challenge myself constantly to develop new concepts for the creation of my designs.  I often look at objects for what they could be instead of what there are presently.   I believe that aesthetic beauty is the visual manifestation of the energy that I put into my design work.  It is with this guiding principle that I founded L. Edgar Duff Design.   I quickly drew upon my experience in a corporate environment and adopted a mission statement, “Sowing Seeds of Kindness and Beauty.”   I positioned “kindness” in front of “beauty” because I believe that kindness is an essential element to true beauty.
